Meghan Troc, Associate Attorney
Meghan focuses her practice primarily in family law and domestic relations matters, including litigation and negotiation of child support, maintenance, division of property, allocation of parental responsibilities, relocation, and orders of protection. Meghan believes that every case and client is different and requires a personalized strategy to achieve a client’s desired outcome. She zealously advocates for her clients’ rights and counsels using a practical, yet compassionate approach. Meghan prides herself on helping others navigate the unique and complex legal issues involved in family law matters.
Meghan completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2009 with a Major in Communication and a Minor in Gender & Women’s Studies. After graduating, Meghan worked for three years as a senior administrator in the healthcare industry.
She earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where she was an active member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Board and Council. Meghan was selected to compete in national trial advocacy competitions held in Washington, D.C. and was awarded “Best Advocate” while competing at Georgetown Law. Meghan clerked at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, in both the Felony Trial and Special Prosecution divisions under the administration of Anita Alvarez. It was during her clerkship that Meghan’s passion for helping others intersected with social justice issues and advocated for victims and their families.
Meghan is a proud member of various bar associations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Will County Bar Association. In 2020, she was elected to serve as Vice President of the Will County Women’s Bar Association. She is also a certified mediator from the Illinois State Bar Association.
Meghan enjoys spending time with family and friends and taking golf lessons.
